Playflag

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026  |  Last updated: September 25, 2026

Playflag works entirely offline. Everything you enter stays on your phone. We don’t run servers for the app, we don’t receive your data, and we don’t share it with anyone.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Playflag mobile application (“Playflag”, “the app”) handles information. The app is published on Google Play by Fattal Hotels (Netherlands) B.V. (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Fattal Hotels (Netherlands) B.V. is the developer and publisher of Playflag. Our contact details are listed at the end of this policy.

Information the app stores on your device

Playflag is a climbing companion. To track your training, the app saves the following information in its private storage on your device. This information is never transmitted to us or to any third party.

WhatExamplesWhy
Climbing profile Display name, self-assessed experience level, preferred climbing type Personalising the app and pre-filling forms
Route attempts Route, result (Flash, Send, Project, Failed, Repeated), attempts, falls, time, section results, notes Route Solver, route history and analysis
Climbing sessions Session type, goal, duration, logged routes, rest times, training score Session Mode, statistics and progress
Personal goals Goal type and target, such as “Send 5 new routes this week” Tracking your goal progress
Session registrations Full name, email address, phone number, experience level, climbing type, preferred session, optional comment Showing your registration confirmation in the app

Session registrations

When you join a gym session in the app, you fill in a short form and must confirm that you agree to the processing of your information for climbing session registration purposes. The details you enter are stored only on your device as your confirmation. They are not sent to any gym, to us, or to anyone else. You can remove them at any time (see “Deleting your data”).

What we don’t collect

Sharing and disclosure

Because the information never leaves your device, we do not sell, rent, share or disclose it to anyone. We have no access to it.

Storage and security

Your information is kept in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. It is protected by your device’s own security, such as your screen lock and device encryption. App data is excluded from Android cloud backups, so it stays on the device where you created it.

Retention and deleting your data

Your information is kept on your device until you delete it. You can delete it at any time:

Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered, because no copy exists anywhere else.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because Playflag stores your information only on your own device, you can view, change and delete it directly in the app at any time. We do not hold a copy that we could provide or delete on your behalf. If you have questions about your rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, such as the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Children

Playflag is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since the app does not send any data to us, we do not receive information from children or any other users.

Scores and suggestions

The Personal Route Score, Personal Training Score and “Next Challenge” suggestions are calculated on your device from your own logged data. They are personal training metrics and do not represent official or certified climbing grades.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if the app’s features change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change is significant, we will also point it out in the app or in the Google Play listing.
